Tell us about the marriage proposal

Ewen got down on one knee the night before my 28th birthday. We had been together almost 8 years then but it still came as a big surprise!

How did you choose the venue:

We pretty much decided this the night we got engaged – we wanted to get married at Sandy Creek Park which is my parents property. We never actually even looked at any other venues we didn’t need to.

What was the styling inspiration for the day:

Colour, colour and more colour. Our theme was for lots of colour and I think we definitely achieved this, especially with the help of Miranda with our beautiful bouquets. One of my favourite style features was our pom pom aisle, it really pops in all of the photos and it was so much fun having our guests throw pom poms as we walked back down the aisle after our ceremony.

Do you have any advice for brides to be:

Just relax and don’t stress the small stuff. We had a baby boy 7 weeks before our wedding date and everything still fell into place on the day… well with a lot of help from my family (thanks guys!)

Tell us about your bridal flowers:

I told Miranda the type of flowers I was hoping to have, I had seen all these elaborately colourful and beautiful bouquets online but never thought I would be able to have something like what you see on Pinterest – We chose to have all fresh flowers and Miranda and the girls at The Eternal Vase were able to create the most amazing bouquets for myself and my 4 bridesmaids. They created boutonnieres for Ewen, his 3 groomsmen and 1 grooms woman. They even made a matching boutonniere for our son Soren using artificial flowers so we can keep it forever.

Any special Thank You's:

Thank you to my family (our tribe) for going above and beyond with every aspect of our wedding we really couldn’t have done it without you!
