Tell us about the marriage proposal

I had never been on a plane before and I had a voucher for a scenic flight over Bendigo as a birthday gift from one of my bridesmaids. Very nervously 9 months later, Brad, our son Kurt & myself finally went on the flight. Brad took this opportunity to write "MARRY ME SAZ" in a paddock on his parents property in massive letters using lime. Mind you we had to fly over it 3 times before I'd look down and of course I said "YES!"

How did you choose the venue:

Brad and I were looking for somewhere different and out of the Bendigo city. We came across Cammeray Waters in Woodend. The location was perfect because it wasn't too far for family to travel. We went to view the venue and fell in love with it so we didn't need to look any further. There is a beautiful area to get married in a rotunda at the edge of the lake with a stunning peaceful country surrounding.

Tell us about your bridal flowers:

We had The Eternal Vase do all our bouquets, button holes, ceremony, reception and table decorations. I basically showed Miranda the colour of the bridesmaid dresses and said how I wanted white lilies in my bouquet and let her do what she does best. I couldn't have been more happy to see how everything came together. The flowers just really set the scene beautifully.

What was the most memorable part of the day:

There were so many memorable parts to our day. Walking down the long isle to Brad felt like forever, I wasn't sure if my nerves were going to get me there. But once I stood up there with Brad the feeling of happiness was indescribable. It really was one of the best moments of my life. Our son Kurt was only 6 at the time and he carried the rings. To see him walk down first was heart melting, he did such a good job. We were very proud! The reception was such a fun night, everyone was up dancing and we all had a ball! Brad's speech definitely brought a tear to my eye.
