How did you meet:

We met through mutual friends when we were in Year 11 at highschool. We were friends for a couple of years before we officially started dating in 2006.

Tell us about the marriage proposal

We were holidaying in Western Australia in 2012. We took a day trip to Rottnest Island on New Years Eve where we found a secluded beach to go snorkelling. Kyle popped the question while we were floating out in the middle of the ocean, he had been swimming around with the ring on his little finger!

What was the most memorable part of the day:

It’s hard to pick just one. The entire day had a fun-filled, relaxed vibe and we loved seeing all of our friends and family enjoying themselves. Everyone made the most of the photobooth our photographer Sean had set up and it made for some hilarious pics! Taylor Sheridan and his band had everyone up the dance floor all night… and there was even a spontaneous duet performance by the bride and groom!

Tell us about your bridal flowers:

I had absolutely no idea when it came to choosing flowers for the bouquets! I took fabric swatches of my bridal grown and the bridesmaids dresses in to Miranda at The Eternal Vase. I thought it may be a difficult task as the bridesmaids dresses were all different colours but Miranda wandered around the shop grabbing bits and pieces from everywhere, put them together and they were just perfect! She also did a fantastic job with the groomsmens buttonholes, adding little wooden hearts we had engraved with our initials.

Tell us about your reception flowers and decorations:

All of the reception flowers and decorations were also supplied by the Eternal Vase. We kept it quite simple with hessian runners, vases of flowers and chalkboard numbers. A major talking point was the amazing overhead feature hanging over our round bridal table.
